Le Gîte Au Manoir

Le Gîte Au Manoir, Plusquellec, Côtes-d'Armor

. . .      the perfect destination for a relaxing holiday in Central Brittany

Thanks Bryn & Val, really enjoyed our stay.  The gîte ticks all the boxes and then some.

Would love to come back someday.

Bob & Joanne - January 2012

A beautiful place to come and really rest for a week away from the hustle-and-bustle of real life!  Such a perfect and peaceful location, very welcoming and warm gîte.  Incredible to have little welcoming bits and bobs waiting for us - the chilled wine, basket of logs and gorgeous area to relax!  We've definitely benefitted being here for a week and a stunning place to enjoy my birthday!  Thank you so much for having us and creating a haven for us!   A walk around the lake and down the lane is an absolute must!!

Many thanks.

Jess (Winchester) & Jon (London) - February 2012

Had a lovely time at this wonderful gîte and thank you for lending the home to us.  We do hope to see you again early next year so we can have our third relaxing holiday.

I love this place.

Gaia (London) - April 2012

We have had a wonderful honeymoon in your cosy and very comfortable gîte.  Val & Bryn, thank you for your generous hospitality - it was lovely to meet you and like "home from home".

Brittany has many delightful things to discover, from the peaceful countryside to the beautiful seaside resorts.  It was a joy to visit places such as Saint Quay Portrieux, Dinard, Dinan and the market at Morlaix.

We leave rested and rejuvenated and look forward to returning very soon.

Au revoir

Julie & Tony (Huyton, Liverpool) - May 2012

We had a wonderful week in your fabulous gîte.  You've done a fabulous job of bringing the buildings back to life - congratulations!

We had a great time exploring the rural parts of Bretagne as well as some of the cities.  Loved Quimper, Côtes de Granite Rose, a great visit to Dinan as well as checking out the small villages of Guimiliau, Lampaul-Guimiliau and Auray.  We're so glad to have come to your part of France as it's so different from much of the rest.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful spot.

Mark, Teresa & Jeffrey (Calgary, Canada) - April 2012

You made us all so welcome.  Superb gîte, fantastic location, it's all been said before and it's all true!  There is so much to see and do and eat and drink we will have to return!

Thank you so much again.

Graham & Helen (Pulborough, W. Sussex) - June 2012

We echo Graham & Helen's thoughts and comments.  Your hospitality exceptional, gîte wonderful, you have thought of everything - home from home.

Many thanks for sharing your house with us.

Laura & Patrick (Bath) - June 2012

Had a lovely stay in your gîte, which lived up to all the brilliant reviews!  The beds are soooo comfy …

Enjoyed Quimper, Concarneau, Ocean opolis and many more trips, plus relaxing here of course.

Thanks for a great welcome.

Nicki, Les, Imogen & Sam (North Yorkshire) - June 2012

What a lovely relaxing week we have had here, spent in a fantastic Gîte!  We came feeling tired and leave feeling much more rested.  Although the weather was not great, we still managed to walk, explore, eat, drink, read and enjoy the great woodburner.

Bryn & Val are great hosts, friendly, welcoming and great company, and know when to allow us time to get on with it too.  We would love to return and will be spreading the word amongst our friends and family.

Best wishes to the next guests … Enjoy!

Mac & Rea (Gloucestershire) - June 2012

We've had a wonderful two weeks here - long awaited and exceeded our high expectations.  Must echo the comments of many others in these pages in thanking Val and Bryn for their welcome, hospitality and helpfulness.  Best landlord and landlady in France, surely!

The gîte has been simply perfect - we didn't feel at all guilty about our "rest days" from going out and about because spending time at the gîte has been so, so relaxing and comfortable.

Thanks and the very best wishes

Stuart, Ruth and Edward (Tonbridge, Kent) - August 2012

We have had a brilliant time!  The welcome was warm and the house lovely.  We had a rocky start after breaking down, but Bryn kindly offered to collect myself and the children - above and beyond!  Since then it has been sunshine and beaches and fun and laughter.  The perfect family holiday.

We have really enjoyed the week in your gîte and how welcome you have both made us feel in Brittany.  With the comfortable surroundings, the sunshine and the Olympics to watch it's been a struggle getting out some days.

The boys loved the rock pools at Locquirec and the beaches there.  The Plage de Saint Guirec on the Côte de Granite Rose is really stunning.  We would have loved to have had the time to take a boat trip from Bénodet out to the islands (book 24 hrs in advance) but will look forward to doing this if we can return.

The lake at Mael Carhaix is also good fun, and not far if you find yourself with a spare sunny afternoon.

Many thanks and our very best wishes.

Mark & Jo (Norfolk) - August 2012

Beautiful, tranquil haven from the stresses of life.  We leave feeling refreshed and ready for the next leg of our journey - Saintes.

The gîte is perfect.  We did try to think of ways to improve it but could not come up with any.

Try the lobster on sale at Intermarché - delicious, and definitely have the croissants from Ty Coz - scrummy!

Our favourite visits were the enchanting rock boulders at Huelgoat, Quimper, the fabulous beaches of the Rose Granite coast and Mael Carhaix.  This was my first visit to rural France and was very surprised at how vast it is - also how little traffic there is on such well kept roads!

We now have the bug and are seriously going to consider if Brittany might be where we would be happy living in the not too distant future.

Val & Bryn - fab place.  Thank you.
